VQJCS / VQLCS
New chipbreaker geometry end mills
The new VQ-CS range of chipbreaker end mills includes medium and long cut length types named VQJCS and VQLCS. They have been designed for specialised roughing applications on heat resistant super alloys. The main features of these new end mills are the special flutes that have notches to provide an effective chip breaking function. The 5 flutes used on each diameter features a rigid cross-sectional geometry to provide excellent chip evacuation, this makes the VQCS end mills ideal for trochoidal machining.
Reliability and performance for difficult-to-cut material applications
- Notch chipbreaker flute geometry that reduces cutting forces.
- Increased reliability provided by a rigid cross sectional shape.
- Newly developed (Al,Cr)N coating and Zero-μ surface treatment provides excellent wear resistance for long tool life.
- Wide range of materials can be machined: HRSA, hardened stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, plus copper and copper alloys.
